With it’s psychedelic guitars, off-the-wall synths, and heavily-sampled vocals from Damian Kulash, “Upside Down & Inside Out” is the fantasized opener on OK Go’s indietronica record “Hungry Ghosts”. The song deals with confusion, aftermaths of parties, and coping with stress and new ways. Lyrically, it shows a problem between two lovers, which is a common concept throughout the album. A man just had a hangover with his lover, and is finding ways to cope with a now corrupted relationship.
