The Swiss mansion, near Lake Geneva, where Charlie Chaplin lived for the last 25 years of his life will open  this April as a museum to honour the legendary artist's life and work.

With one of the most spectacular views of the lake and the Swiss Alps, the refurbished former family home will become a museum focusing on the comic legend’s private life. Charles Chaplin lived with his wife Oona and their eight children in this Mansion built in 1840 in Vevey in canton Vaud. Chaplin spent the last 25 years of his life in Switzerland, where he died there at the age of 88 in 1977.
